Com. Bhagath Singh ;A fight to be continued..!
March 23 marks the 83rd of a courage and political determination that imparts everlasting and never-dying energy in fighting every machine of torture and exploitation. When Bhagath Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru embraced gallows on 23rd March 1931 the people of India was struggling to get their neck out of the clutches of British Imperial rule.

The significance of Bhagath Singh and his comrades lies not alone in
their fearless spirit of patriotism, but in their clear vision of the people’s emancipation from the social and economic maladies that had gripped the life of the majority. They rightly believed that without working class playing a leading role, the struggle against imperialism will become a futile exercise that won’t solve the issues of the majority. Bhagath Singh and his Comrades represented the revolutionary stream of the Indian national movement that strove to throw the class exploitation and religious divisions along with the foreign rule.

Today when the world capitalism has taken its new form and the economic domination of the imperialist powers over the world is ensured through trade treaties and neo-liberal economic policies, we realize that our country is still in the hook of imperialism. And also the Indian government is acting as a puppet in the hands of America and turns a blind eye towards the continuing invasions of U.S. that have been murdering millions of people across the world. The majority of the Indian population including peasants and workers are living under deplorable living conditions when a privileged few stands to gain at their expense.

Caste continues to be a torturing machine in our country and
religion is a tool in the hands of the fascist forces who are dreaming of the reign of the country in their hands. It is in this background that the vivid memory of Bhagath Singh and his comrades becomes more relevant. It is ridiculous that the Hindutva fascists who spread hatred among the people and exercise the divisive politics are projecting Bhagath Singh as their hero. A fighter of his strong conviction and unflagging secular spirit can never be allowed to be utilized by the communal forces for their divisive agenda. So it becomes our duty and responsibility to uphold the values of Bhagth Singh and his comrades and fight all forms of exploitation and resist communalism from creeping into the secular fabric of the nation.
